I’ll be honest with all of you… this friendly completely slipped my mind! So I obviously never got to see it, however, some videos can be found here. I did hear though that Makos, unfortunately, received a potentially serious injury. Patsa might have been injured slightly as well Dadomo. I heard from some forums...

So, both Christos Patsatsoglou (former right back of Olympiakos and Omonia) and Christian Nasuti (centre back last year for Aris who we are loaning from River Plate I believe) signed with us today. Not bad for some last minute attempts. In particular, I’m happy with Nasuti. We definately needed someone else back there after...

So Friday evening comes and PAO draws 1-1 with Xanthi at home. Saturday evening comes and Iraklis beat Olympiakos 2-1. Looks like Sunday may turn out to be a pretty good day I was thinking… and then AEK loses 2-1 to Kerkyra. The game was played in Patra since Kerkyra’s stadium was not yet...

The draw, which took place in Monaco, is done and AEK find themselves in relatively easy Group G with Zenit St. Petersburg, RSC Anderlecht and HNK Hajduk Split. Aris, by comparison, will need a miracle to advance out of Group B, which contains defending champions Atletico Madrid as well as Bayer 04 Leverkusen. PAOK...

Seems like we nearly have an agreement with Kew Jaliens, Dutch defender for AZ Alkmaar. Dutch papers report today that AEK told AZ they agree on the transfer money. AZ doesn’t want to have a whole lot of money for Jaliens, they just want to stop paying his salary as soon as possible. Jaliens,...

The BBC and other British media outlets are reporting the good news! AEK beat a UEFA deadline and secured a new stadium for this week’s second-leg Europa League clash with Dundee United! We are all set to play them at Nea Smyrni. According to the BBC: AEK Athens have beaten a Uefa deadline to...

Due to the dangerous playing surface, the 2nd leg of the Europa League clash between AEK and Dundee Utd will be moved from the Olympic Stadium to another as yet unannounced ground in Athens (we are hearing either Nea Smyrna or Peristeri). AEK and UEFA officials have inspected the ground this afternoon and the...

AEK traveled to Scotland for the first leg of their Europa League qualification playoff tie and did enough. We were solid enough in defense, controlled the midfield for large parts of the game, and showed some creative flair up top. The only goal was created by Scocco who played the ball to Lago who...

Another promising pre-season result for AEK. There wasn’t much of an opposition for AEK as Schwaz (I’m not even sure which league they play in) could barely even start an attack and instead decided to hold back and defend. We dominated in terms of possesion and looked very good in the first half. Leonardo...

Sokratis Papastathopoulos, without a doubt one of the biggest prospects in Greek football, and former AEK defender, will soon seal the deal on a move to Italian giants AC Milan. He previously played for Genoa and had two very successful seasons with the club (he started often, was loved by the fans, and from...

So, for some reason (Nova claims it has nothing to do with them), the match was not broadcasted on television (technical problems in Austria). Instead, I had to follow the match with updates from various sites. None the less, what I read sounds very pleasing! Many reports are saying we played incredible football, especially...

Well, I don’t know about all of you, but I am very excited! Why? Because I finally get to see our beloved AEK in action after nearly two months! Our opponent will be well respected Romanian club FC Unirea. I’m curious to see all of the young players who should get some playing time....

Uruguayan Claudio Dadomo is now officially a player of AEK. I honestly haven’t heard or seen much from him but he’s at a good age (28), sounds enthusiastic, and, if wikipedia stats are at all true, is capable of scoring some goals. Hopefull...

Traianos Dellas has once again returned to AEK, and it’s official. I’m sure there will be many mixed opinions about this, and perhaps rightfully so, but as of right now I’m pleased with this (it is thankfully only a one year deal). I know its been repeated many times on here but guys like...

AEK held its first training session of the season at Thrakomakedones today though with a smaller than usual squad (others will be showing up slowly). Regardless, four of our new signings were present today including Liberopoulos. He sounded confident that we can do something good this season. As happy as I am to hear...

I had little hopes for this Greece team before the World Cup actually started and now I have none. Despite terrible choices by Otto the players were sloppy and not until the final minutes showed much interest in scoring. We were outclassed and it was obvious early on. Un-inspirational play but it doesn’t help...

Somehow, Sportarena has confirmed our new kit for the upcoming season. There is alot of criticism going around but I still like the striped kit though it is a shame the Eagle will be missing from the right sleeve. The second kit (the blue one) I am not a fan of however. The design...

Yes, that’s right, the beloved Number 33 has returned to the club where he was loved for years. He’s 35 years old now and certainly not getting any younger but I will always be happy to welcome him back to our club, especially at a time when options seem limited. Hopefully we will see...
